About this artwork
I created Mars Field CXII on a 30 x 24 cm canvas, inspired by natural landscapes and the subtle shapes created by weathering and time. This work reflects my fascination with the marriage of chaos and order - an interplay of vibrant accents of yellow, blue, red and green, embedded in a fine-grained, calm texture reminiscent of sand and small stones.
The central focus of the picture, a colorful "hill" made of layered paint residues, was created through… an experimental work process in which I consciously played with material and structure. The surface is reminiscent of a small-format landscape that could have been formed by the forces of wind and water. This work tells of change, naturalness and beauty in detail.
I see Marsfeld CXII as an invitation to go deeper and discover the balance between energy and silence.
