About this artwork
For me, Field of Mars XCVIII is a study in organic movement and material poetry. The work—like all the paintings in this series—consists exclusively of crushed paint residues that have grown on palettes over the years. I transform them not just into a new surface, but into a new artistic narrative.
This image reveals a quiet, almost sandy dynamism: structures shaped as if by wind, colors like washed-up fragments. It reminds me of a beach—not as… a place, but as a feeling of vastness, stillness, and constant change.
The color particles bear traces of images, gestures, and decisions from the past. In their new order, chaos becomes subtle harmony. This small format invites you to look very closely—and discover a great story within.
A work for collectors who love material depth, transformation, and gentle abstraction.
