Rare Bird VII – Movement in Color and Light
In "Rare Bird VII" (oil on canvas, 40x30 cm, 2025) the motif does not appear as a solid form, but as a fleeting moment of bright blue, fiery red, soft green and radiant yellow. The bird seems to be caught in flight, its body dissolving into movement, color and light.
I am fascinated by the idea that a being can be perceived not through contours but through pure color energy. The visible artist's palette,… which is integrated into the work, captures traces of the creative process - as if the brush were still moving, the picture still being created.
This work is a reflection on the ephemeral, the fleeting, that which eludes our perception. The bird is there - and yet not quite. Its flight leaves traces in color and light, a snapshot that is constantly being reshaped.
