Rare Bird VIII – Color in Motion
In "Rare Bird VIII" (oil on canvas, 40x30 cm, 2025) I am fascinated by the idea of creating a motif not through clear contours, but through color, dynamics and light. The bird emerges from the composition for only a moment, formed by bright blue, rich green and warm yellow nuances, before it seems to dissolve back into the abstracted environment.
I like to work with the balance between figuration and abstraction… - here the subject is not determined by details, but by the way the paint moves, condenses or flows. The visible artist's palette, revealed as part of the composition, is reminiscent of the creative process itself - the mixing, experimentation and spontaneous emergence of forms.
For me, this work is a reflection on transience, energy and the way our gaze forms images and makes them disappear again.
