Rare Marmot – Hidden in Color and Light
This oil painting on canvas (40x30 cm, 2024) captures the silent presence of a marmot, emerging from tones of ochre, brown and green. The colors flow into one another so that the animal is not immediately recognizable - it appears and disappears at the same time, as in nature itself.
I love it when my motifs emerge from light, color and structure rather than clear contours. The marmot sits in the middle… of abstract shapes as if it were part of the landscape, a creature between camouflage and visibility.
For me, this work is a reflection on calm, perception and the beauty of the hidden. A unique original that invites the viewer to look deeper and immerse themselves in the world of color.
