About this artwork
I painted "Coastal Ephemeral" in 2020 after a trip to the Maine coast near Kennebunkport. Witnessing the sunrise – its potent mix of moody, transient light – was the catalyst.
This land/seascape is conjured purely from my memory of that experience. Using oil paint manipulated with various brushes, rags, and implements, I built up the rich, earthy textures of the foreground rocks to anchor the composition. Then, I began contrasting them with the… vibrant, sweeping colors of the stormy sky and the brilliant turquoise streaks of the ocean spray. My goal was to capture both the raw, elemental power and the fleeting beauty of that coastal morning. The original painting is available framed or unframed, and I also offer high-resolution prints on Canvas, Fine Art Paper, or White HD Metal.

Each work is examined for color fidelity, hand-signed, and numbered by me personally. I then assemble a custom 'Care Kit' for the collector, including a detailed explanation of the work and a Certificate of Authenticity.
This meticulous process adds approximately 7–10 days to the delivery timeline, but it ensures that the work you receive meets the highest professional standards of the fine art market.
