human construction. The ground, covered with tufts of golden grass, seems frozen in time, as do these ruins, which once likely bore witness to deeply held beliefs. This scene evokes a universe where human faith and foundations have crumbled in the face of the inexorable passage of time and the extreme conditions of nature. This ruined landscape had a profound impact on me because of the sense of decline it gave off.
