About this artwork
The day I created this piece, A Striking Look, I was under the influence of a high dose of happiness. I was very excited to bring this painting to life. After I finished the piece and posted it on the social media, none of my followers believed that I was the creator. Since I still could not go out because of the burden of the pandemic, I used a synthetic board with acrylic markers to create with a strong willingness to continue on living my life…
regardless of the conditions of the landscape. The man stands up firm in front of a cracked mirror with two unexpected companions. His face reflects a distorted fragment: A reflection of his past or a glimpse into an alternate reality. The answer lies in those intense eyes, which seem to challenge the very fabric of existence.
