About this artwork
I created this piece, The Three Sisters, using acrylic colors on paper, based on a documentary I watched during the pandemic. As soon as I finished watching it, I decided to replicate the story through an artistic perspective. Under the summer heat and a life threatening condition, the three sisters stood side by side in declaring that Covid-19 is a state engineered virus and vowed to stick together in rejecting vaccination. I was still undecided… as to what to do: whether to take a vaccine or not. In the meantime, the pandemic continued to impose a highly death toll upon societies. As a creator, I had to fight mentally to keep my creative imagination sharp. This is a position that reflects on this piece. Indeed, the three sisters form an harmonious triad in this piece. Laura on the left, has her hair like the rise of a waterfall. Luna, in the middle, opens her eyes widely as a promise to a new beginning. Lara, on the right, wears an exotic gown, symbolizing her life in a circle.
