About this artwork
I created this piece, M Right to Love You, on valentine’s day. I used acrylic colors on paper to bring it to life as the pandemic of Covid-19 was pushing human societies to the Edge. This painting is a testament that regardless of life challenges, love is always alive in the heart of all beings. The woman in this creation seems to be dreaming, standing before a colossal heart as she woke up in the middle of the night without a concrete companion.…
Her posture indicates her commitment to love and to be loved on this special day. The use of the single red tone on this paper also reveals the woman´s determination to focus on love for the sake of love. As I was engaged in this painting, I could hear my internal voice dictating the title of the artwork: My Right to Love You. This is the imaginative narrative of the woman in this piece. Hence, the question: Is she fighting for a forbidden love or advocating in a sea of self-love? As the viewer, you can find the answer in your heart.
