In “Riesling Dionysos”, I understand wine as a cultural and symbolic phenomenon. I am not interested in wine as a product, but as a vehicle for time, memory, and transformation.
The clear forms and ornamental symbols allude to cyclical processes, maturity, and fertility. Dionysus appears not as a figure, but as a principle poised between order and intoxication. Riesling represents clarity, tension, and depth—qualities that also characterize my painting.…

Nata Statzner is a German painter of Ukrainian descent who has lived in Germany for over two decades and blends the cultural influences of her heritage into a distinctive visual language.
