By micro hybrida I define a series of abstract works created in collaboration with the abstract artist Antonio Bruscella, using acrylics and special colors on bas-reliefs of synthetic plaster or terracotta, measuring 15x15 cm., in five figurative solutions representing "tributes" to the Mycenaean civilization, the Egyptian civilization, Vermeer, Modigliani, and Picasso. The work is supplied in a white or black box frame, with a protective 25x25 cm… plastic glass, as shown in the video.
Designed for accessible collecting, they are the most affordable and experimental version of the Hybrida project to which they belong. They are ideal for decorating and enhancing small spaces, pillars, corridors, waiting rooms, etc. They are valuable works of artistic and cultural value, and can also be commissioned in exclusive sequences for special events such as award ceremonies, twinning events, weddings, etc.
I was born in Italy in 1954. In Naples in the 1970s, amid university life and social unrest, I worked as a cartoonist for trade union publications. In Potenza in the 1980s, I began my journey into color, with a figurative-realistic spirit. In 1996, back in Naples, I joined Esasperatismo, an artistic movement with which I participated in international events. In 2011, I settled in Basilicata and resumed sculpture, spending time with ceramicist friends. Today I work exclusively on commission, on projects of any nature and size, which I only share if I find some interest in them. The rest of my time is spent playing, inventing, thinking, teaching, letting go of anything that tires me mentally. I love living in Basilicata and when I have the chance, I host events everywhere.
