About this artwork
The basic body was created by hollowing out a large maple tree trunk using numerous chainsaw piercings. This also had numerous punctures. The "hanging nose" came into its own from a certain perspective. This was emphasized more by targeted cuts. Some of the existing punctures and holes harmonized with the silhouette of the object, others were added. The placement on a steel base with a steel pin gives the nose a "floating", light touch.
