About this artwork
This work reminiscent of a rock symbolizes suffering; the suffering of a wrinkled heart, contracted by the suffering that exists in the world.
The work is done in warm colors, including magenta, cadmium red and cadmium orange.
This work reminds us of René Magritte's work entitled "The castle of the Pyrenees". In which a heavy rock that rises above the sea seems to defy gravity.
Referring to the symbology of the materials used, the state in… which they are found and their coloration, I share the opinion of Anish Kapoor and Yves Klein when they affirm that the pulverized color represents the spirit. Color, being dust, does not have a body properly; it is not a solid material form.
Like the pigment itself, the powder symbolizes the transcendental and the absolute. The saturated and pure colors reinforce the message of the spirit that is also transmitted thanks to the primordial simplicity of the form.
