Chapter: Feeling and Reason
Two forces. Two positions. Two apparent opposites.
On the left, a cool blue. Structured, clear, architectural.
Lines, breaks, order. A world of analysis and construction.
On the right, warm ochre and earth tones. Atmosphere instead of contour.
Less form, more feeling. A space of intuition, closeness, and inner movement.
But it is not a divided figure. It is a portrait from within.
The border is not… a hard line. Blue overlaps with ochre.
Ochre overlays blue. Both sides blend into each other.
What appears to be separation is in truth connection.
Reason without emotion remains detached. Emotion without reason loses direction.
Identity only emerges when people work together.
"Together" represents this internal interplay.
For the awareness that we are not either/or.
We are both. And we are both together.
And that's what makes us who we are.
I paint the space in between.

I am interested in the space before the answer.
Where contradictory poles exist simultaneously and where questions arise.
Questions have always been a path of discovery and a source of strength for me.
Perhaps we don't always need to know immediately which side is the right one.
Perhaps it is precisely this space of possibility that I want to bring into our lives with my pictures.
This perspective stems from 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and creative mind in my trade fair construction company, where responsibility, economics, structure and creative design and thinking were inextricably linked.
