Considering "Glimmering Calm" (39x29x1.75 oil on board) for your collection, I want to share its connection to my sixth solo show in 2026, "Ipseity." This exhibition explores the feeling of one's unique self through large-format works inspired by Arctic and equatorial landscapes, intended as deeply personal experiences shaped by your interpretation.
In "Glimmering Calm," whether dawn's quiet or dusk's stillness resonates, I invite you to explore… the interplay of abstraction and hinted landscape. The tactile surface, created with deliberate palette knife strokes, suggests peaceful forms with soft tones that glimmer like ice.
This piece, I feel, showcases my ongoing palette knife exploration, aiming for visual stimulation and emotional resonance. I sought to create an immediate impact through textural dynamism and impasto, allowing the paint's boldness to speak for itself.
