It's my moon: a circle I built with scraps of steel and brass, collected like small fragments of abandoned stories. I arranged them, glued them, and juxtaposed them to create reliefs and craters that capture the light like metallic memory. The brass warms the surface with golden reflections, the steel punctuates its edges with hardness and a cold sheen—together they tell the story of a dialogue between fragility and resistance.
The light that flows… over them transforms the materials: what was once waste becomes sky, what was once scrap becomes a lunar landscape. I worked the resin like a very thin mesh, spreading it and letting it stretch over the metal crust; this film creates a veil that holds and distorts, adding mystery. The resin finish neither hides nor reveals entirely: it seals, protects, and at the same time induces the search, the peering beyond the surface.
Silvana Di Vora, a self-taught artist, uses watercolor, acrylic on canvas, and scrap materials to create works brimming with light and movement. She experiments with figurative and abstract art, using rapid brushstrokes and intense monochromes, highlighting the three-dimensionality and luminosity of unexpected details. Her works, often melancholic and dynamic, convey that even from darkness, the most intense light and vibrant color can emerge, instilling vitality and hope in the viewer.
