About this artwork
I created this portrait on a black acrylic background; the figure is composed of thousands of steel spheres recovered from mechanical scraps: the surface is textured, dotted, and reflective. FRIDA KAHLO, a sensitive, courageous, and combative woman; my aim, in this work, is to support and enhance the often-underestimated female figure. The earrings reflect the light and become the visual and symbolic fulcrum of my work.
