In this work, I created a perfect circle, a symbol of harmony and continuity, using mechanical waste materials—shards of steel and titanium, leftovers from industrial processes no longer serving any purpose. Through color, these cold, metallic elements find new life and meaning.
The red, blue, green, and shades that intertwine at the center become an emotional language, expressing the tension between the rigidity of the material and the freedom… of creation. Each chip, each incision, is a memory of making, a gesture transformed into light and color.
This work stems from a desire to rethink the purpose of matter: what was once waste becomes form, vibration, visual poetry. It is a meditation on the possibility of rebirth, on the infinite cycle of transformation—where even the hardest metal can become emotion.
Silvana Di Vora, a self-taught artist, uses watercolor, acrylic on canvas, and scrap materials to create works brimming with light and movement. She experiments with figurative and abstract art, using rapid brushstrokes and intense monochromes, highlighting the three-dimensionality and luminosity of unexpected details. Her works, often melancholic and dynamic, convey that even from darkness, the most intense light and vibrant color can emerge, instilling vitality and hope in the viewer.
