About this artwork
For Beyond Blue, I worked with acrylic paint, water, and a carefully directed airflow. The colors were slightly diluted to create controlled movement without losing any of their expressiveness. I work very cleanly and attentively; every line, every spread of color, is consciously guided. The center of the painting emerged layer by layer—through air, intuition, and the subtle interplay between control and release.
Beyond Blue speaks of a place beyond… the visible—perhaps geographically, perhaps spiritually. A floating island of lines, shapes, and inner movement. The delicate structure of the surroundings lends lightness to the image, while the center unfolds depth and organic complexity.
Effect in space
The work appears calm and expansive. It opens up spaces rather than filling them, inviting one to linger and contemplate. Beyond Blue unfolds a quiet, contemplative presence—a silent window into another dimension.
