This picture reflects the atmosphere of a certain quarter in Hamburg and was painted as a commissioned work. The Grindelviertel includes the university and is very diverse and lively. There are all sorts of shops, international restaurants and a legendary cinema, the Abaton. The viewing angle of the picture is exactly opposite this cinema.
