The moon stands over a skyscraper in Hamburg-Schnelsen. A young person from this part of the city had taken a photo from the roof of another high-rise building and given this motif to Ulla Kutter. Despite the darkness of the motif, the painter was immediately enthusiastic about painting it. It's an unusual cityscape with a very dense atmosphere. When looking at it, questions arise like: Who is still awake? What are all these neighbors doing behind…
the windows? The moon in the clouds represents another dimension than everyday life behind the windows of the houses.
