"Silent Obedience" explores the internal roles of leadership, dominance, and submission. The image depicts two figures: a standing person whose movement is reminiscent of swinging a lasso, and a figure bending over. A tension arises between the two, a dynamic of action and reaction.
This juxtaposition points to forces that operate not only between people, but also within an individual. Leadership and obedience appear here as fluctuating states… that change depending on the situation. The work does not depict a clear hierarchy, but rather an interplay of control, adaptation, and inner regulation.
The characters can be interpreted as external roles or as internal aspects that mutually influence and limit one another. "Silent Obedience" invites readers to examine their own experiences with power, responsibility, and subordination, and to engage in open dialogue about these experiences—about tensions, dependencies, and the search for connection.

As Uomo Nero, Christoph Czarnetzke creates a mysterious fusion of archaic ritual and introspective self-exploration through painting and sculpture.
