As Uomo Nero, Christoph Czarnetzke creates a mysterious fusion of archaic ritual and introspective self-exploration through painting and sculpture. His radically reduced one-line technique, using exclusively black on white, evokes states of mind in a single, irrevocable stroke, transforming sketches into canvases or sculptures. His art plumbs the invisible and invites the viewer to discover their own hidden emotions in the meditative interplay between light and shadow – dark and immediate, yet always as the origin and invitation to self-encounter.
