About this artwork
The artwork features a keyboard collaged with musical notes on the left and right sides. They represent classical and popular music, elitist and popular music, and the entire concept of pigeonholing.
I juxtaposed a line from Bach's cantatas (Bach Works Catalogue) with a line from Bushido's album (Berlin Most Wanted) and lo and behold, a conversation emerges, a discussion, where one seems to be directly addressing the other, a libretto for a new… song.
Even though the following passages vividly illustrate the cultural contrasts to the attentive reader, he must realize that music, singing, is what connects us, what is human, true to the motto "Where there is singing, feel free to settle down..."
Most viewers pass by this work with the yellowed album leaf without appreciating the poetry of the text.
Due to the fragility of the artwork, it cannot be shipped via Singulart. Please contact me.
Wolfgang Eberhardt, a passionate painter, discovered his artistic talent through emotional experiences. His figurative works are created through careful use of charcoal, color pigments and binding agents, creating images full of magic and impulse. His art is a bridge of communication, with the aim of reaching the viewer deeply and triggering emotion. With love as his strongest force, he always strives to express true human feelings through his art.
