About this artwork
The guitar I took apart here, with its elegant curves, always reminded me of a woman's body. 90-60-90.
And indeed, a guitar has a head, a neck, a body (the soundboard), and a hole (the sound hole).
Bach's Prelude and Fugue was playing on the radio.
From my Latin lessons I knew that Präludium is translated as Vorspiel (prelude).
Fugue? I hadn't paid attention in music class and only associated it with a small crack or crevice in architecture.…
My chamber music concept: If the prelude is good, the small gap opens.
Some of my artworks only reveal themselves to the viewer upon second glance, or upon closer inspection.
