BLUE BIRD is not simply a bird: it is a mythical figure, mediator between earthly beauty and cosmic momentum. The bird, a universal figure of elevation, freedom and the messenger between heaven and earth. Here, through its geometric stylization, it becomes almost a totem, a spiritual emblem. Moreover, a discerning eye can detect that it alone embodies several individuals who are one, intertwined with each other. The blue colors linked to the sky…
and water, symbolize fluidity, inner peace, but also infinity. The bird then becomes the guardian of the vital breath, at the crossroads of the elements. The gold sown in its plumage introduces divine light, nobility and inner radiance. The flamboyant crest evokes as much a crown as an aura, a symbol of power, radiance and affirmed identity. As for the spiral background in perpetual motion, cycle of life, like invisible forces which cross the universe and carry the bird in its ascension.

FLOD, a French painter and sculptor based in Spain, works mainly in painting using dot art, spirals and gold; she draws on a self-taught background and studies at the Beaux-Arts in Avignon.
