On this sculpture, the eye has the shape of a fish
(Christian symbol) The fish does not close its eyes. The fish has no eyelids; it never stops watching, just like the eye of Caen.
Like any man, Cain cannot escape his conscience: "The eye was in the tomb, and looked at Cain."
Abel is the second son of Adam and Eve. His older brother, Cain, kills him out of envy (different from jealousy) because God preferred his younger brother's offering to his… own.
Protected by his nomadic children, behind walls of tent canvas, bronze and granite, Cain buries himself, but nothing can stop the eye of God, of guilt, that of conscience.

FLOD, a French painter and sculptor based in Spain, works mainly in painting using dot art, spirals and gold; she draws on a self-taught background and studies at the Beaux-Arts in Avignon.
