About this artwork
"Meditation" is a work that belongs to a series of 17 paintings devoted to dance. Here, the ballerina is dressed in a modern way, she adopts a pose that combines balance and withdrawal into herself, seeming to bend her back against the aggressions of time that are ruining her outer envelope. The title is an echo of this attitude of serene and patient reflection in the face of the vicissitudes of existence.
The painting is produced in a mixed technique… on canvas and combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (glossy glazes and raised squares); it is a unique piece and it comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is signed both on the front (on the ballerina's slipper) and on the back of the canvas, which is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 81 x 56 x 3.5 cm)
