For some time the artist has been studying and relating to various types of supports that he uses as a base to create his works. Fabrics, used both as a base for the works and as a final layer and therefore as a finish; in this work they find a great deal of space to be studied and worked on. Leathers are used, supplied by the company “Biokimica” based near Florence, of different sizes, shapes, colors and printed geometry that are folded until the… desired shape is achieved by the artist and then nailed one by one by hand to the underlying wooden board used as a support. The result obtained is that of a three-dimensional puzzle, where the material used is the main subject with all its colors. The whole creates a play of reflections, thanks to both bright and opaque colors that capture the observer and force him to observe the work from different angles due to its material three-dimensionality.

Gregorio Codagnone is a painter and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally. Passionate about art in all its forms, he is inspired by architecture and the materials that "make up things". Codagnone's current sculptural pieces explore the concept of composition and decomposition, nature returning to nature. However, in his pictorial works, he integrates sensations and emotions that bind internal areas that are fragmented and distant from each other.
