The Florentine artist Gregorio Codagnone thus denounces the environmental pollution caused by plastic. Every minute the equivalent of a truck full of plastic ends up in the oceans, causing the death and systematic destruction of all kinds of living ecosystems.
"I will start a new series of paintings and… sculptures to say enough to self-destruction" - the artist begins - The goal is to sensitize every inhabitant of the world on this very important issue, so far widely discussed but little implemented in practice.
The work, called Plastic Inferno, is made with a rigid plastic sheet, created by the fusion of thousands of bottle caps recovered from the beaches of the Tuscan coast.
« I am a dreamer and a visionary who represents his mind and what he feels. »
Gregorio Codagnone is a painter and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally. Passionate about art in all its forms, he is inspired by architecture and the materials that "make up things". Codagnone's current sculptural pieces explore the concept of composition and decomposition, nature returning to nature. However, in his pictorial works, he integrates sensations and emotions that bind internal areas that are fragmented and distant from each other.
