About this artwork
The village where my studio is to be found is called Karlshof. In the surrounding areas are many paths and field-ways. My kids and I gave some of them our own names: ''The Wood gathering Way''; ''Sweet and Sour Apple Way''; ''The Oak-Lane Way''. There is one spot where I particularly like to go and paint from. This summer in the middle of a heat wave I set up my easel there again. As it is often the case with my plein air painting, I end up…
trying to capture the temperature of my enviroment. With the summer now long gone and the Brandenburg grey-spell about, this painting is a nice reminder of a season from another time.
