Rugged and inhospitable, the rocks form a valley that opens towards the sea. There, where Columbus last took on water before his voyage to America, sky and sea merge. In contrast to this ethereal expanse, a black rock, reminiscent of Machu Picchu, rises up in the center of the image.…
The small hill slopes steeply down towards the viewer: palm trees and a small settlement hint at human presence. This untouched peace and quiet is a thing of the past. Today, Masca is a tourist hotspot.
