About this artwork
A large light bulb emerges as an everyday object transformed into an expressive gesture of charcoal and acrylic, revealing an image laden with shadows, textures, and traces of friction that evoke the wear and tear of matter and the passage of time. An emblem of light appears darkened and extinguished, as if it held within it a latent energy. At its base, a pile of yellow stones scattered on the floor reveals an unexpected element in the composition.…
Like light that has escaped from the bulb, unable to be contained, it finds another way to manifest itself in space. The mixture of charcoal and acrylic in the piece, along with the yellow stones, transforms the work into a dialogue between drawing, painting, and installation, where light ceases to be merely a concept and materializes in space.
