About this artwork
Created using my signature technique of dripped and thrown paint, this large scale artwork began with thousands of individual drops of colour dancing across the canvas. Each mark has its own presence, yet together they form a radiant woodland alive with light, movement and atmosphere.
As the painting evolved, I found myself thinking about how our lives are often shaped by small moments rather than dramatic turning points. A gesture of kindness,… an unexpected conversation, a moment of perseverance or a glimpse of beauty on an ordinary day. Individually they can seem insignificant, yet over time they become the experiences that guide us, encourage us and quietly change the course of our journey.
For me, this painting is a reflection on hope and possibility. It serves as a reminder that even during uncertain seasons of life, light is never far away and that countless small blessings may be gathering around us, often unseen until we pause to look.
