Where the Wild Light Falls is a vibrant floral landscape inspired by those magical summer moments when sunlight filters through a garden and transforms everything it touches. Towering alliums rise from a sea of colour, their delicate forms illuminated by golden light and surrounded by layers of expressive dripped paint, energetic splashes and luminous detail.
Created in acrylic and oil on canvas, this painting combines spontaneous mark making with… carefully observed floral elements. Rich greens, glowing yellows and soft violet tones weave through the composition, creating a sense of depth, movement and atmosphere. The upward perspective invites the viewer to step into the scene and experience the garden from within.
I wanted to capture the feeling of being completely immersed in nature at its most joyful and abundant. Filled with light, colour and vitality, the artwork brings warmth and optimism to a space while celebrating the beauty, energy and wonder of the natural world.
