About this artwork
Awakening II continues the study of a single rose specimen, captured across five moments of transformation — from closed bud to full bloom. In this second composition, the sequence becomes more spacious, more cinematic, and more deliberate. Each stage appears suspended in darkness, allowing the eye to move slowly from protection to opening, from tension to release.
Through our ultra-high-resolution scannography process, every petal, fold, edge,… shadow, and trace of colour is rendered with exceptional clarity. What might normally pass unnoticed becomes visible: the architecture of growth, the quiet pressure before opening, the softness that arrives only through time.
For us, this work is about awakening as a gradual becoming. Nothing is forced. Nothing is hurried. The rose does not perform its transformation; it allows it. What begins closed and inward slowly unfolds into confidence, vulnerability, and full presence.
