About this artwork
Three Wishes was inspired by the quiet mental drift that happens in water — those moments in the bath when the body is still, but the mind begins to travel.
The three dandelion forms stand suspended against a deep black field, fragile and luminous, as if caught just before the wind carries them away. They echo the way thoughts, memories and wishes rise slowly when we finally stop moving.
There is a softness to the work, but also a sense of impermanence.… Nothing is forced. Nothing is held too tightly. Like seeds waiting for air, the image speaks about release, pause and the small private rituals that help us return to ourselves.
Created to be both calming from a distance and intricate up close, Three Wishes invites the viewer into a quiet space between stillness and movement.
Botanica Lumen creates large-scale botanical photographic works from real botanical specimens, captured through ultra-high-resolution scannography.
Founded by Anna Surdacka and Luis Fernandez, the studio brings together botanical knowledge, optical imaging, and material precision to reveal nature with extraordinary clarity, tonal depth, and presence.
These are not vintage botanical illustrations, traditional photographs, or decorative floral prints. Each work is created as a museum-grade photographic object, designed to be admired from afar and discovered up close.
Produced with deep black fields, continuous-tone photographic printing, and architectural finishing, Botanica Lumen works are made for interiors that value quiet impact, detail, and permanence.
