About this artwork
I designed this work as a symbol of the inner guardian—the embodiment of the power that protects our heart and soul. The anatomical heart is enclosed by wing-like shapes that act like a shield: strong, mysterious, yet protective.
The sculpture is designed with patina, textured paste, and intense layers of paint. The deep red of the heart contrasts with the dark, almost mystical wings. A golden drop adds a final touch—a symbol of purity, immortality,… and inner wealth.
Cordis Custos is part of my Cordis Obscura series, which depicts the heart in the tension between light and darkness. Each work is unique, created as a collector's item and an expression of the complexity of human emotions.
This work is not just a sculpture, but a statement: a guardian that brings strength, protection, and depth to any room.
