About this artwork
This work, executed from a live model, bears the model's first name as its title. I have worked with this model several times, which is why I wanted to pay tribute to her in this way.
The classic dark green patina underlines the rigor of the extended application.
The bronze casting of this piece was carried out in a sand foundry which refers to the original each time for the casting of the works.

Chantal Molinié uses sculpture, drawing, and wood and stone carving, enriched by her training at Cornell College of Art and workshops in Nantes. She sculpts nudes and busts from live models by applying flattened balls of clay, leaving the surface unsmoothed, to capture the vibrancy of life. Her expressive, vibrant style captures the ephemeral and fragile beauty of humankind. Her works convey a profound desire to preserve and celebrate existence in the face of oblivion and death.
She devoted the year 2025 to the creation of the catalogue raisonné of her sculpted works, which was published in December by Éditions du Livre d'art.
