Tragic and grotesque at the same time is the action of a human who kills a 2-ton rhinoceros to grind its horn. On the black market, rhino horn surpasses cocaine because - often taken from living animals, leaving them to agonize for hours before dying - it is sold in powder form in some countries as an ingredient in miracle cures. There is no medical-scientific basis behind this belief, given that horn is made of keratin, the same substance that our… nails and hair are made of. To save them from this tragic fate, in various African countries where rhinos live, their horns are cut off. The author thought of this sculpture - made of polyester foam on a wooden base - as the model of a real monument. However, he strongly hopes that the rhino will not become extinct and the eventual monument will therefore not represent its disappearance, but human stupidity.
