The rose replaces the apple and turns the fall into a pact of mischievous gardeners.
The snake, fallen on hard times, resigns itself to being a domestic lizard amidst… so much carnal authority.
Here, original sin is not born from disobedience, but from a shared laugh.
The flesh is displayed without guilt, like new writing on old doctrine.
Eden, rather than expelling them, seems to protect the joke and close the door to the patriarch.
There is no true Adam, but his void filled with brazenness and perfect naturalness.
And the red of the rose commands, small but sufficient, as a decree of joy and substitution.
