I revisited the symbol of the tree of life by linking it to that of the dreamcatcher.
Traditional feathers are replaced here by real dried and painted leaves, suspended like talismans from the branches of the trunk. Each leaf, patiently worked, retains its original vein but is adorned with shimmering colors, deep greens, flamboyant oranges, bluish reflections, as if nature had dressed itself for a sacred festival.
The trunk, studded with a myriad… of colored dots, unfolds like a flow of vital energy, connecting earth to sky. The purple background, dotted with small luminous touches, evokes the starry vault where dreams and reveries circulate.
In this work, nature becomes a mediator between the visible and the invisible: the feather-like leaves hold back nightmares, let luminous dreams pass through, and remind us that the tree of life is at once a root, a refuge, and a passage to infinity.
FLOD, a French painter and sculptor based in Spain, works mainly in painting using dot art, spirals and gold; she draws on a self-taught background and studies at the Beaux-Arts in Avignon. Her technique lies between the abstract and the figurative, she gives herself entirely to this indefinite sphere which requires both poetry and mastery of technique. She favors a symbolic, unreal and poetic approach; each work, singular, honors the magic of colors and the generosity of the material. She infuses her art with dreams, escape, and a vibrant joy, deeply touching the soul of the spectator.
