About this artwork
This small painting represents a large tree, but it is a very large small tree...
Executed with the 100% bio-pouring technique, without any brush strokes.
So, with this technique I wanted to show the beauty and strength of its ascending structure. The bark of its trunk, its skin, seems to show its ascending growth by the variations of the different browns of its bark which pull it towards its summit.
The variations of greens of its foliage are… pierced by holes of light which bring it to life.
Note the assembly structure of its foliage (deliberately made of cells) which seems to show the plant biology that composes it at the macrographic level. It is a biological journey through its flesh, its matter that constitutes it.
Inspired since his childhood by the beauty of Nature, colors and drawing, François d'Ardailhon became a painter using acrylic in figurative after thirty years of experience in oil abstraction. Adopting techniques such as pouring and dripping, he developed a "bio-organic" style simulating the sublime textures and colors of nature. His works celebrate the precious and threatened essence of nature, creating a soothing universe because it is connected to ourselves.
