About this artwork
"The Hovering Forest" was a title that ended up being used for a series of six works all together. The setting is once again the forest. I think in this case I have no problem also calling it the "Enchanted Forest.". For me it is enchanted because there is a great force dwelling within. It is supernatural; it is spiritual; it is unworldly. It is at times so strong that the trees appear to be ascending into the 'above.' This is how the title really…
came about. With the "Hovering Forest" I also returned to the Roll-Out format after a seven year pause. With this particular piece which is somewhat larger it works quiet well.
