Started in 2020 and just completed! I took a long pause on this style to work on oils and had 3 works in storage that were still in progress. This one, called Worker, is my representation of the struggle for the American Dream...something becoming more and more difficult these days.

Jon Parlangeli is a passionate American painter and sculptor who has widely exhibited his work throughout the U.S. Fascinated by the process of creation, he composes works that experiment with color and the physicality of paint. Parlangeli's creations stand out for their depth and tactility, appearing as explosions of bright color and unexpected shapes. Parlangeli additionally includes a representational balance of nature and humanity in his work, that merges with abstract elements to create a kind of historic bibliophile hidden in the paint.
