About this artwork
The power of nature is evident time and again when seeds fall on rock formations and grow into trees. This fascination was the inspiration here: a tangle of trunks stretches its branches towards the sky.
They include the Romanesque bell tower of a forest church in their circle. A bright, radiant cross emanates from it. One of the religions of this world that brings light.
The great, cosmic bringer of light, however, is the sun, which shines from… the lower half of the picture. Its strong colors emphasize the nuanced graphics of the rock.
Despite how huge it is, grass and roots have managed to live on it. Even young shoots are thriving towards the sun.
