The MadeReady "W & B" is the very embodiment of LARTBATARD, a hybrid where digital art meets street art. I printed a reproduction of a "Warhol & Basquiat" exhibition poster on a tarpaulin, a modern and impersonal medium. Then, I tore and superimposed fragments of paper posters torn off in the street, fragments loaded with colors more than messages. A vertical construction where the smooth tarpaulin dialogues with the rough paper, where the… bright colors of the printed poster collide with the patinated textures of the street posters. Warhol and Basquiat, pop icons, are confronted with the raw reality of the urban. This work is also an experience. The public did not perceive the deception between digital and analog, revealing the power of the image that transcends its medium. This madeready is more than a collage, it is LARTBATARD in its full expression. It questions urban displays, the place of art, our relationship to the image. It affirms my identity as an artist."
I created LARTBATARD, a form of artcycling born from urban collage, to offer contemporary art lovers images that resist simple “scrolling” and invite them to look differently. Using torn posters, printing inks and gestural painting, I develop six families of MadeReady (PhotosReadyMade, MadeReady_Paper, MadeReady_#Paper, MadeReady_Ink#artRevues, MadeReady_PaperInk and MadeReady_DrawInk) which replay the signs of our time and reveal its tensions. My series question identity, the body, migration and the memory of struggles, in a world saturated with images where every face seems replaceable. My works have circulated in galleries, in residences and online, in France and internationally; each piece functions for me as an archaeology of the present, a fragment of humanity to collect before it disappears.
