About this artwork
The blocks were colored with acrylic paint in a uniform color gradient and glued to the oxidized steel plate in a spiral shape. Six of these wooden blocks were brushed and oiled. The edges of the steel plate were sanded down to a shine and waxed to prevent further oxidation.
Each of these cubes represents a year of life, with the darker, brushed cubes symbolizing… particularly significant events.
The wall object can be easily attached using the enclosed wall hook and dowel.
Weight: approx. 24 kg

« I have always been fascinated by abstracting the human body in order to depict it in a simple and elegant form. »
He is particularly known for his minimalist approach, in which he reduces forms to their essential elements.
Hellweger's work embodies the idea that nothing is permanent; everything evolves and changes. Each of his sculptures reflects a deep engagement with the materials and themes he explores.
Despite their simplicity, his works are deeply expressive and, by reducing them to the essentials, offer a metaphor for mindfulness and contentment.
