About this artwork
I work with calm tonal values and a clear structure: old trunks on the left and right, with… towering arches and pillar remnants in between. Light filters through the canopy, framing the bricks and casting islands of shadow on the ground. Stone and leaf harmonize without concealing their different eras.
A locus amoenus of peace and strength emerges: the trees provide support, the ruins open up space. The famous backdrop becomes a silent group portrait of nature and history – a place where the stone speaks not only of transience, but of the present.

He creates a poetic visual language interested in forms and structures, combining this with a modern, conceptual approach that claims social relevance. In his works, he explores inner and outer landscapes, conveying feelings of longing and threat, as well as a fascination with the hidden. He has published various art publications (most recently "World of Water," 2025), which are represented internationally in academy and museum libraries (including Vienna, Basel, Düsseldorf, and Berlin).
